How to gain that search engine trust? This is a question where some webmaster’s doesn’t care to dig into. Some just have in mind to exchange link. Optimizing or even over optimizing for search engine spiders is not good at all if that is the one you have in mind.
Just think like this, why are you optimizing your site? Because of spiders or bots? I think not, we are optimizing our sites for visitors and guests to our sites. We are only optimizing it for search engine to help us bring visitors and guests to our site. We should know also that over-optimization to search engine might lead you to a search penalty as the opposite to our objective.
Now, how can we gain trust on search engine? Build a site good for search engine and good for human, for visitors an guest and not just concentrating on bots. Sites is for information to human visitors. Search Engine Optimization as quoted on wikipedia,
Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via “natural” (”organic” or “algorithmic”) search results
So an improvement to the traffic from human visitors coming search engine, and not improvement on traffic for crawlers. This is in any way trying to build links so fast. So here is some tips that I think can help.
1 . Build site for human visitors not bots.
2. Don’t build links automatically or building links too fast. Indulge in natural linking.
3. Make sure your site cannot be treated as a link farm.
4. Update it like 1 or 2 per week. We need to ensure fresh content. If you are selling product, this means you need to provide, fresh contents and can do it daily product update.
5. Make your site readable. Hidden links will not help your ranking.Remember you are optimizing for your visitors.
6. Though cloaking can do good for a short time, but on a long run, your site can be banned permanently on search engines like google.
7. Try to eliminate those php session id on url of your site, though it can be indexed by search engines but still a short and se friendly is best than with session id in it.
8. Have something that your readers can get interest with.
This are just simple and we can still go deeper but I am running out of time to post, since it’s week-end. Maybe we can continue and go into deeper module or write me in. Check my email at the about page.

The one answer I can never find is - how long does it take to get page rank with Google. I left a large insurance company several months ago and opened my own agency. I have been doing the things it takes to grow my site but wondering when Google will recognize it. I am the Phoenix Mutual Funds guy.

Gary,
thanks for visiting my blog, to answer some of your queries, “how long to get pagerank from google?” Google normally updates it pagerank algorithm every 3-4 months. Pagerank is not a measure on how large your site or how you site grow. Having a site like your should take into account not the pagerank but conversion from visitors and number of clients you have now. If you have a lot of conversion, then I can say, you did a great job and why bother for pagerank? But If you are eager for a pagerank, then continue your link building process. But try not to spam in the internet, it will just hurt you.

Is the biggest page rank factor length of time on the web? My site, Maui Snorkeling Guide has a few pages with good page rank and others with “0″
The few with page rank have been around for over a year. The others have been up for over 6 months. Just trying to gauge how long it’ll take to get higher page rank on the others. Thanks

Jason,
as I have indicated, don’t build your site for pagerank purposes only.visitors and content is the best thing you can do to your job. but answering your question, you can get a high pagerank if you get a high pagerank site linking to you one way, like PR9 or PR8, when google updates it PR. but sorry to say, google is trying to delay those PR updates or maybe they are not in any way going to. WHo knows?
