Getting backlinks is a tedious process especially if you are into search engine optimization. So watching your backlinks decrease is a major pain especially if you are doing it for a reputable company. Just recently, I have been watching one of my clients backlinks in Yahoo, well google is shy doing it on public, they prefer to display it on your personalized webmaster tools, but yahoo displayed it even if your site is on that link farm caused by your competitor. lol.

Yahoo displayed just two weeks later the backlinks at around 9k, but then checking it today as my daily maintenance on clients if how it was going with the few link baits and few articles to it, the backlinks actually dropped from 9k to 4k links pointing to the site.

Well, there is no issue however because the site is still ranking on the yahoo and google search engine even though this link count decreased. But let us observe in a few more weeks or days if it will go down its position on search engine.

Is Yahoo improving? Or do they have new algorithm on their yahoo search engine?
