Just have my rundown and keyword research on different search engines and how they react to my queries especially if I have to separate each letter of the keyword when we click the search button. Taking for example the word SEO, we will try to search this keyword term on different search engines such as google, yahoo and msn.
We then take the example keyword above which is SEO. On the reaction of google for the term SEO.
Look what comes up on their search engine. Now we took the sample on yahoo for the term SEO.
The same result was it? Only that yahoo has so many sponsored link. Now we go to MSN for the keyword SEO.
Every search engine look the same was it? Now we go to the juicy part, let us take the keyword SEO but this time we separate or we put a space on each letter of the word so it would become S E O. Again we take a look at the search engine response. On google,
Same result? Yes indeed, google can recognize the keyword even if your search term was spaced separated. Nice algorithm isn’t it? Now we take the picture on how Yahoo respond.
Look closely how yahoo react on that keyword, he seems to list websites with all the possible combination it has with letters S E and O. It seems that yahoo cannot recognize such keyword and just displays results with S E O letters in them. Care to see MSN?
It seems MSN knows a little about the keyword so he displayed one result at the top of it related to the keyword. But look at the next result, same as yahoo? Indeed. SO based on the experiment above, definitely obvious about search algorithm they use and how each engine reacts and distinguished a keyword when accidentally if not intentionally separate each letter of the keyword the user search. Now you can apply this principle on key phrase where not only a single word is being search but a group of keywords.
