With the activity on MSN Search and the update on their blog, it seems they are trying to focus on a specific search system on every topic they wanted to be in.  If you are visiting MSN Search Blog, you will see an update on specific search on live based on topic or shall we say category.

What is really happening is, if you want to search for books then you can go to a category live search http://books.live.com. In there you can search for book and in-copyright content. So that means MSN Search is improving its search engine by category and in general search of their search engine, they will just punch in when someone search on that particular key term. Please note also that this is only my observation them as far as searching on their general search is concerned about some keywords i used to search. MSN is part of search engine optimization quest, on my day to day experiment on their search.

Though other search engine like google and yahoo have this kind of system, but MSN is also going into the scenario and adapting the way how other SE’s doing on categories.
