Will Microsoft go for $50 Billion?

With the recent news for Search industry about the proposal of Microsoft to buy Yahoo, and the immediate meeting of Yahoo executive to discuss the unsolicited letter from Microsoft, I wonder how it will go far with this news. Microsoft already proposes $44.6 Billion on the letter dated January 31, 2008.

The offer might increase up to $50 billion in common stock that is much higher than the previous offer as far as I can observe if Yahoo refuses to accept the offer of about $31 per share after yahoo shares increased on yesterdays stock market.

If the deal will go through competition on the search engines will be tough combining the resources of Yahoo and Microsoft versus Google. Hmmn, Google may Ask!? AOL?
